Dr. H.B.A.C. Stockmann studied medicine and a year of Art History and Archaeology at the University of Amsterdam and received his medical degree in 1992. From 1993 to 1996 he carried out scientific research at Harvard University in Boston, United States. He followed the training as a general surgeon at the Erasmus Medical Centre Rotterdam and the Sint Franciscus Gasthuis. After his general surgery he did a fellowship at the Erasmus University to become a gastro-intestinal surgeon.
Currently he works as gastro-intestinal surgeon in the Kennemer Gasthuis in Haarlem
